“To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.”

A Game of Blood & Tears

The Waste Land Bazaar was…

... a gathering of communities in a blasted post-apocalyptic landscape. Long after society has fallen the few that remain gather to share news, swap gossip, be entertained, settle debts, negotiate deals, and trade supplies.

... a Live Action Role-Playing Game inspired by the Mad Max movies and the Fallout video games with a dash of A Boy and His Dog, Borderlands, The Road, and The Walking Dead thrown in to create a world of its own. A world where resources are scarce, violent is extreme, and everyone is doing whatever it takes to survive.

... a two-night event at GlitchCon in Springdale, AR in 2015. Slated for Friday and Saturday nights starting at 6:00 PM CST both nights. Attendees of the convention are encouraged to attend, even if it's only to observe, as the game is totally free of charge.

... not the beginning of a yearly tradition. The goal is to create a LARP that happens every year at GlitchCon that tracks the local region's development in a post-apocalyptic setting. This will be it's first year and the events of the game will set the stage for next years gathering.

.... designed to encourage earnest conversations about violence, slavery, drug abuse, cannibalism, and ethics. It's intended for adult audiences and mature minds but the specifics of the topics covered depends on the players involved and their comfort level. Communication about the themes of the game is heavily emphasized to make sure everyone is on the same page.

... the beginning of a larger setting and bigger world. The site acts are a hub of between game communication for it's players. If the event is a success more supporting material may be released for players to incorporate the Bazaar's world into their home table-top and live action games.
